It’s Party Time–CTD #199

CTD199_2012jul4

Hi, everyone! I’m back today with this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. The uber talented Lori is host today, and since it’s July 4th and Independence Day in the US, she’s chosen some patriotic colors.

swatch 199

I’m using a brand-spanking new set from MFT—just released last night – PI Birthday Girl. Isn’t she adorable? I stamped her on Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 130lb paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers—except for her sweet little gingham jumper and her balloon :) Then I cut her out with a Die-namics Rectangle STAX die and matted her with another. The sentiment was stamped on a Die-namics File Tab die cut and adhered under the edge before popping it up on foam. I remembered how much I loved the little Die-namics Rolled Scallop Flower so I added one of them, along with some Die-namics Royal Leaves. A little stitching, some twine, and some pearls finish it off.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set and our little PI sweetie again. Lovin’ me some pigtails!

And that’s it! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily.
